MTV's Video Music Awards will be giving away plenty of prizes on August 28, but there's really just one category that we care about...

"Video of the Year."

This year, shoe-ins Katy Perry ("Firework") and Adele ("Rolling in the Deep") will be facing off against The Beastie Boys ("Make Some Noise"), Bruno Mars ("Grenade"), and 20-year-old rookie Tyler, the Creator ("Yonkers").

Perry and Adele have the most support in terms of popularity and mass appeal, but if you ask us, Tyler deserves the award without question.

The Adele video didn't change. It just flicks back and forth. I found it jarring. I do like the Katy Perry video, it creates a visual accompanyment to the song. That resonates with and makes the whole experience more vivid.
