When we heard that Disney star Vanessa Hudgens had a new main squeeze, we were excited to see who this new stud was.

And then we realized that he's a Disney actor too...and that he looks exactly like her last boyfriend, Zac Efron. A little variety please, Ms. Hudgens!

Nevertheless, Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler are an item -- which you can clearly see from these pictures.

The two celebs were also seen kissing and cuddling over milkshakes at Bob's Big Boy in Los Angeles about a week ago.

But one anonymous insider (why are they always anonymous insiders?) told Hollywoodlife.com that Hudgens is just having a little fun.

"It isn't a serious thing at all. She's having fun hooking up with him but no official relationship has flourished yet. It's a friends with benefits situation."

Whoa. Way to be candid, anonymous insider.

Casual fling or not, do you think Vanessa Hudgens' new guy is an upgrade from Zac Efron? Or could he stand in as his double during the next Disney movie?

She likes guys that are prettier than she is. It would appear that they at least spend equal amounts of time on their hair and make-up. Not knocking Zac or her new man, I'm sure they are very nice guys. I'm just calling it like I see it.

I actually think Zac is a mega talented performer on stage. He can act, sing, dance etc. I don't get into the love lives of kids because they will of course, fall in love many times...Actors tend to fall for their leading men (or women). They are thrown together 24/7 for months at a time and I imagine that is hard to resist if your co worker is attractive. Many times after the movie ends they part ways. Hudgens is just a kid, she has plenty of time to settle down.
