Sad news today ... Usher's 11-year-old stepson has been declared brain dead following an accident on Friday in which he was struck by a jet ski, TMZ reports. Kyle Glover is the biological son of Usher's estranged wife Tameka Foster ... wait for the :41 mark in the video below for more on how Usher is helping Tameka get through the tragedy.
Kyle (third from the left in the photo below) was struck in the head by a passing jet ski while riding on an inner tube on Lake Lanier in Atlanta, TMZ reports. Kyle's 15-year-old female friend was also seriously injured, according to reports. They were both being pulled in the inner tube by a boat when a 38-year-old man allegedly struck them with his jet ski. Tubing seems like a harmless enough activity, but do you think it's too dangerous for minors? Or was Kyle just in the wrong place at the wrong time?

Yes+14Kids shouldn't be bubble rapped because of other kids being in the wong place at the wrong time or part of being in a random coincidence. Sorry to say but s**t happens.

I say that to say you can assume the risk and prepare as much as you can but accident can and do happen
I jet ski, boat and ride on toys behind both at times. I can easily picture an enthusiastic, inexperienced and careless jet ski rider pass a boat and pull in behind it thinking the wake will be a thrill without being able to see a tube behind it until it was too late. I don't know if that is what happened or if the boat steered incorrectly and put the child in danger but either way this is an unfortunate accident that probably could have been avoided with better water skills.
Just riding on a boat with an inexperienced captain is a danger to passengers and other vessels. Too many people think they can operate a boat or jet ski without proper training and experience. I hope this poor boy will miraculously recover. Either way maybe someone who boats or skis will read this and learn something that may save a life in the future!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anything can make you suffer.
Parents have to help their children assess the risks involved, but they also need to allow them to pursue their passions, enjoy life, and have new broad experiences. Life holds risks, and we all choose to take them everyday. When tragedy does strike, you need to accept it as part of cost of living a full life.
My sympathy is for Usher and the family loss.
