i do like harry potter cus i have grown up wiv him, but i prefer twilight as tha is wa i am into, vampires are my thing not wizards. and i think tha harry potter has way to many books whereas twilight has just enough but maybe steph should make a few more....

Harry Potter,because they've been popular for a long time and Twilight just barely came out and I just think the Twilight movies are trying to upstage the Harry Potter movies but they can't because Harry Potter deserves to rule over Twilight because it's just about a stupid chick falling in love with a glittery vamp and it just sucks.

I've read both series. Where Harry Potter has depth of story, character, Twilight does not. Where Harry has endurance of integrity, Twilight does not. Where Harry has a practable ending fighting sequence, Twilight does not!!

While Harry Potter is superior to Twilight simply because Twilight is such a terrible series, the obvious choice would have been "Other: Stories written by Lovecraft."

For one, Harry Potter wasn't based on one person's sick twisted sexual fantasy. The characters in Twilight are bland, portrayed as perfect, which makes them rather boring. The only character error I found was that nobody could be loyal to each other, but this was still treated as "perfect" and "normal".

Harry Potter also isn't brainwashing teen girls into believe in stupid stories of some demon playing a fairy coming to rescue them from life. Harry Potter also didn't portray suicide from a break up as decent means of action.

this list is endless. Harry Potter didn't ruin long loved mythical creatures. Any changes from what we though were interesting and added seriously cool plot twists. You can pretty much tell that 1/3 of the twilight books can be deleted without effecting the plot, while the Potter books were longer for a better reason!

Stephanie Meyer was one lucky ass chick when she landed a publishing deal and a movie deal. Meanwhile, J.K. Rowling clearly made something worthy of hard cover publishing AND a complete 8 movie series. The Twilight Saga isn't even a Saga. To be a Saga, you have to have some sort of action or epic content don't you? the entire series has like 3 or 4 fight scenes. How many dangerous scenes are in Harry potter? ALOT.

I read both series. I LOVED Harry Potter but Twilight....I liked the first one, probably because when I read it not many people in Spain knew what it was and the movie hadn't been released yet, but the rest was just...ugh....It's difficult to stand more than one book full of corny words....I finished them anyway.

Both, i have read both books countless times...they were the first books i have ever read and have gotten me hooked....I've also seen all the movies in both soooo many times, lol......I LOVE both...hahaha

Hands down. I've grown up with his stories for over a decade. We've grown up with these characters and we feel attached to them since we can relate to them.

I'm extremely glad that I was able to be part of the Potter generation.

Not to mention that vampires aren't really my thing :)

As for Twilight - I've read the books. I felt nothing for the characters. They are bland, boring, and lack depth.
