According to MSNBC, New Moon, the latest installment in the Twilight saga, has set a new box office record by earning $72.7 on its opening day on Friday, beating out The Dark Knight's opening day record of $67.2 million. The question now is, as a film adaptation of a novel of dubious quality, does Twilight: New Moon deserve the record breaking success it has gained?

I'm just going on what my Twilight loving friends had to say. My cousin got drooled on by the girl that sat behind her....how gross is that?

I didn't see it. My daughter did, and she said it was "Amazing".

I'm mildly interested, and will probably sit down and watch it with her when it comes out on DVD.
