Apps based on movies are a dime a dozen. But movies based on apps seem to be Hollywood's newest trend. In an interview with IGN, “Toy Story” writers Alec Sokolow and Joel Cohen revealed that they are interested in writing a movie based on “Farmville,” one of Facebook's most popular game applications.
They said, "So, yes, we will continue writing movies. We are also working on several new and very exciting opportunities. We're in conversations with Zynga to do something with one of their brands. Can't really say too much on that front yet, but 'Old MacDonald' didn't have a factory, if you get our drift."
An “Angry Birds” movie (and/or TV show) is in the works. There were rumors about a movie based on another Zynga game, “Mafia Wars.” It was only a matter of time before someone decided to make a “Farmville Movie.” Skeptics wonder how interesting a “Farmville” movie could really be. But then again, before “Toy Story,” it may have been hard to envision an animated movie about toys making more than $361 million worldwide and capturing the hearts of children and adults alike.
What do you think about the possibility of a "Farmville" movie? "Oh no!" or "EE-I-EE-I-O!"?

An Angry Birds movie might be fun though.
The rest of us have many... Resident Evil. Mario Bros, Max Payne, Postal.
I'm sure they will be glad.
