i liked maverick too but i choose Goose because he was not just the handsome guy,he was funny,he had his own family and was the one that died in the end!

Viper baby. Tom Skerritt is the real deal, and he was great in this.

The rest are all awesome too. Great, GREAT movie. Made me sad when the US Navy retired the last F-14s. :,(

Maverick was my favorite character back when Tom Cruise didn't act like a whack job - now I find him to be sort of weird and not so attractive as back in the day. But he was hot in Top Gun!
