Tom Cruise gave his first interview since his split with Katie Holmes on Tuesday, and he had a story to tell about an injury he sustained on the set of his new movie, “Jack Reacher.”

After a question from Jimmy Fallon about doing his own stunts, Cruise said, “There's a scene where I'm kicking a guy in the balls... We had to do the take over and over again, and the first ten times it was like, 'Yeah!’ After about 50 times in, my foot was swelling...I kept having to loosen my shoe."

How does Cruise’s injured foot compare to some of the worst injuries in movie history? Fellow heartthrob Brad Pitt stuck his hand through a windshield while filming “Seven,” and Viggo Mortensen broke two toes when he kicked an orc helmet on the set of “The Two Towers.”

Sylvester Stallone fractured his neck in a fight with Stone Cold Steve Austin — and remember the brainwashing scene in “A Clockwork Orange"? Malcolm McDowell’s corneas were scratched as a result.

Halle Berry broke an arm during “Gothika” and was concussed by a light fixture during “Catwoman,” while Sienna Miller hurt her hand AND had her cleavage set on fire on the set of “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.”

However, the king of on-set injuries is Jackie Chan. The worst one of his career came when he fell from a tree during the filming of “Armour of God” and landed on his head; to save his life, surgeons had to remove pieces of his skull from his brain.

Actually. The star got his head chopped off and two illegally hired kids got killed when the helicopter landed on all 3.

I believe it was veteran actor Vic Morrow that died in the helicopter accident while they were filming the first 'Twilight Zone' movie (I think it was a Vietnam war recreation scene). Strange I remember all that.

Out of all of these Jackie Chan had the worst injury but I think it was much worse that on the filming of Aleksandr Nevski that there were actors who drowned in the battle of Novgorod scene, making it look just as lifelike as it was supposed to be.

I do believe so. Since some of the extras/actors of Teutonic knights were wearing armor when the ice broke (like it was supposed to) some of them couldn't swim with the weight of the armor on them so when they were pretending to drown some of them actually did.

Well, yes, it obviously was, but the thing about it was that I don't think it was put out the year it was made since Stalin didn't approve of it. Supposedly it was destroyed, but it must not have been completely since it still remains.

I only picked Jackie Chan, as a vote was required and "non-of-the-above" was not an option. If we look at the history of movie set accidents, and who sustained the worst injuries, I can only assume that the very worst injuries would result in death. For that reason, I have to pick Vic Morrow as one of the primary actors who suffered a very grisly and deadly injury during the filming of the Twilight Zone.

Look at the description on the inside page: 6'5 250lbs not 5'6 and 180 shouts Dwayne Johnson NOT Tom cruise, but then look at the actors who have portrayed other literary adaptations, this has got to be one of the worst. Film wasn't bad though.
