he's not gay or straight - he's some weird sort of alien who reproduces by persuading (seemingly) normal humans to part with vast quantities of cash in order to support his alien space-ship, Scientology, which brings him some strange sort of alien substance which he inserts into his rectum.

I don't particularly care, really, as I've never been a fan of his, but I don't think he's gay. Not at all. I think, just like any other couple not in the entertainment industry, there were problems that they couldn't overcome and felt it best to end their marriage. I'm sure they tried, they just happen to be unsuccessful. *shrugs*
