As if "Toddlers & Tiaras" wasn't getting enough criticism as it is, TLC is getting ready to air a six-episode spinoff series called "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," starring Alana Thompson from the original series. The series will focus on Thompson's family life, instead of the world of toddler beauty pageants, so critics of the original series might find something a little more substantial. Maybe.

The Thompson family consists of dad "Sugar Bear," mom June, 17-year-old "Chickadee," 15-year-old "Chubbs," 12-year-old "Pumpkin," and of course, 6-year-old Alana. TLC describes them as "unapologetically outrageous" -- just what reality TV junkies want to see. The show airs August 8. But does this sound any better than "Toddlers & Tiaras" or is it just furthering its negative aspects?

I love 'Toddlers & Tiaras' . But Honey Boo Boo's mother is crazy , i cant believe she has children . I just want to see how is it in this family so i could watch .

I can not believe that that so called "mother" gives her kid energy drinks..That is sick.
I really don't know how I feel about the kid. I cringe every time someone calls her by MY name though! lol. But on the other hand I think she's hilarious..

I abhor child pageantry. And these people especially who plaster their children on national television for riches. Makes me sick. TLC has become a reality hell.

After watching some videos including this one of "Honey Boo Boo" I became nauseous. And to top it off Dr. Drew lists off drugs to a kid like they are supposed to know what it is. And she acts like she does. And feeding a child energy drinks???? WTF???? She looks like something that lives in Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.

I think this is the most disgusting TV I ever seen.Its even worse than the Bounty Hunter and that is bad.I think the networks go after a certain type of person.I don't think the person that watches Meet The Press is what the Networks want.I would love to see how far they go with this.I once seen a little five year old eating sugar straws to keep her up.Their must be somekind of Dept. for children that will protect them.

The saying that "all babies/kids are cute" is a lie and this show proves it.

Shows like these appeal to the lowest human common denominator, stupidity. If these disgusting parents and the people who watch them are a reflection of what our society is becoming, then we really are going down f'ng hill.

This poor girl for instance will keep gaining from those sugary drinks and will end up miserable because wont be able to continue pageantry. She already is becoming overweight. She will probably resent her mother. I can just imagine the scenario.

And in many ways worse. This kid is really odd. Actually, the whole family is rather 'different'. There's another spin off on LOGO = Eden's World. Now why would they put a toddler show on an LGBT channel? I can't figure that one out.
