This is the most disgusting show I have ever seen. The parents should be arrested for child abuse. Do you think this is healthy for a child? Is this a self esteem builder or something worse?

    I think they're teaching these children at an EXTREMELY young age that in order to be beautiful they must have a ton of makeup on, have their hair perfect, they must spray tan, wear fake teeth, and flaunt their bodies. I've seen the show, and it's horrible. It really breaks my heart when the little girl is throwing a fit and don't want to perform and the parents force them to because they say "it's what she wants!" No...you effing moron, your daughter wants to go home and act like a CHILD!

    You make such a big deal out of nothing. You have nothing better to do then complain. Why are you so afraid. What are you afraid of. Why are you so worried. It won´t serve you. It´s not the show that´s the problem. It´s you that the problem. Your mind is pessimistic and you can´t control it so you take it out on others to try to cover up this flaw.
    Complaining and the lot. If you don like it,don watch it. there is better things to do in your life then to sit around complaining and getting on peoples nerves. Keep it to yourselves. Don´t watch it. Read a book,lose weight,combat global warming,do some cleaning,watch something else on tele. The whole porno for pedophiles is the most dumbest thing i´ve ever heard since america invaded Iraq. It´s an insult to these children. You do all this stuff and say all these things. Say that you care for the children. But yet you are making things worse. You want to help? Support them or Piss off.

    My girlfriends nieces are involved in pagants. It's not my cup of tea. But, they are great kids. They're confident & poised, down to earth , well mannered & genuinely friendly.

    That said, I definitely see how it could be seen as creepy, attract pedophiles & create shallow, vain kids who's whole self image is based on their looks.

    If thats the goal, why not send them to a Children's etiquette class as apposed to being painted up like a hooker with snap on teeth a wig and a pound of makeup strutting around the stage shaking your fanny, pooching out your lips all the while giving that come hither stare.

    I do however thank you for your opposing opinion. Thats what makes SodaHead great! I am not saying all these parents are evil or bad, but extremely misguided in my opinion. There are better ways of teaching children good manners, poise, confidence and healthy self-esteem .

    And, I'm certainly not saying I'd put my kids into pageants, just that it's not always a nightmare.

    Yes dolls are a perfect analogy. Dolls are lifeless objects. These are children!
    But they are painted up like sexualized childlike dolls. It's disturbing and very very wrong indeed.

    I was trying to work out what they were... but yes, they do look life-less... I think the one that looks to be more posed for the sexualized whateverness would be the bottom left one... but they all look sexualized, and doll like.

    You are right, I truly believe this type of thing could lead to something as sad and tragic as the JonBenét Ramsey case.You never know who is watching and what is going on in their mind. This is a dangerous show and why any parent would even put their child at risk is beyond me!
