Everyone knows that New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow is a devout Christian -- but some say his "Sexy Jesus" pose in the new GQ goes too far. See more sexy shots of Tebow in the video below!

The photo appears with an article entitled, "Have You Accepted Tim Tebow as Your QB and Sunday Savior?" But it's actually an old photo from when Tebow played with the Florida Gators at the University of Florida. Tebow, 25, certainly looks sexy in those skin-tight pants, but the real controversy might lie in the headline rather than the photo. Do you find the pic offensive? Or is Tim Tebow's holy pose just a coincidence?

Of course GQ specifically chose that photograph and that caption knowing perfectly well what they were doing. No such thing as coincidence there. Don't think Tebow was deliberately posing as Jesus, though. GQ just did that to get the attention. Not controversial, either, although somebody somewhere will be offended by everything. I'm sure GQ wants it to be both offensive and controversial and will be disappointed if it's not.

The photographer could've instructed him to raise his arms and took multiple frames and decided to run with this one -- I don't believe that Tebow would put himself out there about his faith and to build a decent reputation to go and ruin it by purposely doing a stupid pose in an attempt to sexualize the crucifixion.

People are so stupid. To me, that pose doesn't remind me of Jesus in particular. I'm not bagging on all Christians, but some of them need to get their head out of their ass and realized that not everyone on Earth is somehow associated with Jesus; especially something like a random pose!

I would have to say, Tebow may not have expected controversy, and many in the public could care less, but the photographer and editor selecting pics for the spread certainly expect to compel people to talk up thier product...controversy, yes, if only in a few small minds.
