Tim Tebow Says He Would Consider a Political Run One Day: Would He Be a Better Politician or Pro-Athlete?

When people start getting famous, they usually jump from one industry to another. Modeling to acting. Acting to singing. Singing to having your own fashion line. You get the picture. But Tim Tebow's idea is quite a leap... even for famous-people standards. In a recent interview with ESPN, the New York Jets quarterback says he'd consider a political run after his days in the NFL are done.

“I haven't ruled it out,” Tebow says in the interview. “Whatever avenue I feel like I can make a difference in, I'd love to do. I haven't ruled out anything like that. It won't be anytime soon in my future, but it'll be something I'll at least look at and consider one day.” Do you think Tim Tebow would make a good politician? Or should he stick to football?

Well, even though I don't like Tebow, he's still a better choice than Romney or Obama. Those two are horrible candidate choices.

He's entirely too good-hearted for that. God knows we need people like that in Washington, but he'd never make it through campaign season!

Tebow is nowhere near corrupt and dishonest enough for politics. He would be slaughtered. Sad, but true.

I and my friends are still trying to get our heads around a man his age who says he has never had sex or pleasured himself.
Thus I am voting for him to stay an athlete. I mean seriously? NEVER HAD AND ORGASIM AT HIS AGE?!

I don't see why not. After his athletic career closes, he will need an alternative career. Supposing that he enjoys the political cesspool, as it's jokingly referred to at times, then he has no reason not to jump in. (:

Although, a background as a professional athlete doesn't automatically make someone less qualified than most of the goofs in politics.

He is a good football player at this point in his life. when he grows older and retires from the game..he might make a very good legislator.

He should stick with football. Besides can you imagine the bashing he'd get by the liberally bias MSM. Good forbid he is a Christian who practices and believes! The wacky liberals would go berserk!
  • Okie Lady Bob DiN 2012/09/23 17:31:47
    Okie Lady
Then all the more reason for him to get into politics! Push the wacky liberals on over the edge. God will help him take the bashing he'll get for being a Christian who practices and believes. We are desperate for principled Christians in offices of leadership. Look what what the Muslim one has done! We need Christians to counter that.

Tim Tebow might not be another Abe Lincoln or Ronald Reagan, but I think that he has
a better chance than those so called "public servants" that we have in office now. Far too
many of them are known to perform abysmally while in office. That must change.

He is a good football player but a mediocre quarterback. He would make a better preacher than a politician. We do not need another bible thumping politician but the "Christian" audience could always use another preacher, maybe take over for Pat Robertson.

With the state of the country now, it appears that we need all the Bible thumpers we can get, in every field, including politics.
