Tiger Woods won the AT & T National on Sunday, which means he now has 74 PGA tournament wins. That mark puts Tiger at second place on the all-time list behind Sam Snead. Is he the best golf player of all time?

The flight of his shot into the 18th green was so pure that Tiger Woods immediately started walking and twirled his club, knowing that it effectively wrapped up another win at the AT&T; National. Making it even more special was the sound of thousands of fans at Congressional to see it.

had many pressures ( not finishing college ,not becoming a pharmacist as planned)
that Tiger never did. The purses were much smaller and travel was not nearly
as easy then as it is now. Granted, every athlete from that era had to endure
all the same things and the athletes of today face their own set of difficulties
but for those that have ever played the game competitively and attempt to disregard
these differences as merely " part of it " , I beg to differ. Jack also had to deal with
sharing the spotlight with Arnie who was adored by millions of fans and that was
just another thing Jack had to deal with whereas Tiger was the darling of the golf
scene since his early amateur days. With that said, Tiger has dominated in ways
Jack never did. Tiger, like Jack , overpowered his opponents early in his career
and has managed to stay in great shape ( knee, wrist ) for the most part. Jack ,
on the other hand , thought his way around the course where Tiger tends to
use his athleticism to get through. Both are great in their own right, and there
is really no way to determine one over the other. I just feel that Jack had a tougher
road to reach his pinnacle than did Tiger.
