I hope that I would be strong enough... to live no matter what because of my children and because I have things in this life I wanna do still.
I would try to ration any food/water supplies to the bare minimum, sing every song i know to keep my mind off the sharks, sunburns and starvation and pray to the all mighty that I might be sparred.

Don't think i could eat a fellow survivor though. Thankful it wasn't me.

first of all: never panic, second survival: think, think of a way to feed yourself, think!! and last but not least: find something to do, even if your just in your life raft, find something constrictive to do... The worst part would be the fear of sharks and no water to drink. If I was on a sinking ship the first thing I would try to take with me (if I could) is a fresh water source in whatever I could put it in. I'm a survivor and have already beat the odds from an accident where my heart stopped twice, so I would hope I could rely on that strength again!

At least I'd like to believe I could. I tend to plan for the worst and hope for the best, so I would have something prepared for the eventuality. And all those years as a Boy Scout does give you a lot of survival common sense. I just hope I never have to survive anywhere being stranded anywhere.

I could survive, because I am "always" prepared when I go boating. I wear a life jacket, cold weather gear(when conditions may require) and follow all safety guidelines.

I have a life raft with an epirb and I monitor weather and wind patterns while I am out and chart a course before I leave my home and stick to it.

I also keep my cell phone charged and I put it, a solar charger, and a signaling mirror in a zip lock bag in the cargo pocket on my life vest, I would hope that if I lost all of my equipment the cell phone GPS could be used to locate me and the signaling mirror would hopefully make rescue efforts a little easier.

I also keep a small survival kit that is in an altoid tin on my person whenever I leave my home. Note: My father has been a "survivalist" type since I was born, so I am prepared almost to the point of paranoia

All you have to do is grow wings in the water, and then making a "u" shaped dive below the surface, now gaining an arc of forward momentum, you're moving faster and faster, up, up toward the surface, bursting through and while gaining height, flapping your wings furiously, reducing all drag from residual sea water. Then .... oh, YES! You're an Angel!

Ooooppps, your butt just got scooped up by a low flying pelican. Crap happens!
