They should do fine until it comes to reproducing and the continuation of the species.
Not sure if that's a reality show, or fiction, but if it's the former, most guys i know can function independently, so that'd take some pretty biased "contestent" selection. And it probably wont last long enough for the reproduction issues...
If fiction, it'll probably play on steretypes.

True but since they are only going away for a week, I don't think that would be an immediate threat. If it were longer then that's definitely an issue.

It's an unscripted reality show/documentary/series... Or so they said.

You see they didn't remove women they removed employees. By that I mean the women were care givers and they were removed; what would you expect. If you fired who ever mowed the lawns eventually you wouldn't be able to find the kids. So whats the point; is it that women are needed. They gave birth and walked out. Dah It's a non issue.
