The Air Traffic Controllers Union deserved to be fired. Their union gambled and lost, they threatened the safety of the public and were violating that trust,being government workers you can't do that...I give Reagan credit for calling their bet. The overwhelming public supported Reagan for firing them....

Pound for pound, it must be Reagan. JFK has the distinction of being a martyr, and that is his real allure. Reagan had a much more successful presidency than JFK, and would STILL have had a more successful one even if JFK hadn't been assassinated.
