JFK hands down!!! Reagan had many opportunities to shine and chose to ignore major issues like HIV and AIDS... He wouldn't even talk about it... Instead he ignored it and allowed millions to die needlessly.... that does not a great president make!

who was it that turned our country around? that made everyone happy? JFK by far the best. He didnt take no crap from anyone and he was probably the greatest speaker. He was smart and new what to do. Too bad he got shot by the secret service(who ended up blamining it on Lee Harvy Oswald. He would probably be the greatest president of all time if he would have lasted a few more years and already is to me.

Reagan was the greatest. The whole world feared the wrath of the USA when Reagan was president...Iran talked a whole line of shit until Reagan took the seat and then they couldn't give our people back fast enough. 444 days of came to and end with no talks with these terrorist because they knew what was about to come to them.

If for nothing more than getting our people back, he gets my vote!!!

I was very young when JFK was in office. Might depend on how one defines "BEST". Ron was a great guy it seems. He was a great President in my mind.
I'd rather party with the Kennedy's though.....

It is not fair to compare these two... The result will seem that one is a lesser... Both were great in their own right. But the accomplishments of Reagan ie... The Berlin wall, Star Wars Sattelites and so on... BTW You never heard of Jonnie Jonanomics either, :P)

With Reagan being the architect of our present recession, starting the "deregulation" fetish, this is largely a negative vote. I would say Reagan is our third worst president ever, after Dubya Bush and Tricky Dick Nixon. Best presidents were Roosevelt (FDR, not Teddy) and Truman. FDR started regulation of capitalism and Truman started desegregation.

JFK tried to unite the country by helping the middle class. All Reagen did was fire a lot of the air traffic controls and help close the steel mills. He was also responsible for haning Jimmy Carter lose the election. I wouldn't doubt it if he didn't tell Iran to keep them held hosyage until after he won the presidency. I'm really tired hearing people say he was a great president.

Why JFK? The guy had some pretty big failures, not all of them were his fault. But I would say that if you were looking for a Democrat, FDR would have been a better choice.

I voted JFK because I think that despite his failures he was better than Reagan.

Ronald Reagan by a landslide. His term in office was successful while everything JFK did ended in failure. I don't need to mention the facts that his personal life was a mess, that he withheld his medical records because of his chronic health conditions and his many doctor visits to treat STD's. Kennedy gave great speeches but that doesn't make a good leader..I give him all props for supporting NASA, Peace Corps, and lowering the taxes. JFK's indecisiveness led to the Bay of Pigs fiasco, and later this weakness showed when he was intimidated by Kruschev and a future summit meeting was cancelled. Ronald Reagan directly communicated with the American people and whupped the Dems into supporting his agenda of building up the military, lowering taxes, and got our economy rolling again after the Carter years of malaise. His actions led to the Soviet Union collapsing because it could no longer compete...Reagan was by far a much better and more successful president.
