The Shining is a classic and scary as hell, I don't care how old you are. This is one for every generation to wake up crying about. 1 thing it's not is dated

First, you can't go wrong with Jack...He can play any character for called for..This movie will always be great! It lets your imagination do the scaring for you....Much better than the newer movies that just show it to you.....Go JACK!

if you think about it kids can see him->
maybe good ones or bad, but you know they won't tell you, I am pretty sure we have all seen it but we are too young to remember it! But this movie is a classic and one of my top 10 in scaring -the-sh*t-outta-you-movie!!

This was (and still is) a very good movie. Did anyone see the TV remake? 1997 with Stephen Weber and Rebecca DeMornay.

It is an amazing film, maybe a bit dated in appearance, but Stanley Kubricks movies will always stand the test of time

I read the book before i saw the movie, while working in a hotel on winter!!! Everytime i turned on a corner, i thought i'd see something like that!
