The Rolling Stones to Headline Coachella: Happening or Hoax?

The Coachella 2013 lineup won't be released until next month, but as you know the internet has been abuzz with rumors of who will be headlining the desert music festival. SodaHeads were rooting for Daft Punk among many others, but if the most recent rumor is true (and we hope it is) Coachella 2013 will have the most epic headliner in the festival's history -- The Rolling Stones.

Earlier this week, fans checking tour dates on the Rolling Stones' mobile app saw a tour date scheduled in Indio, CA for April 12th, and if that wasn't enough of a giveaway it said "Coachella 2013" below the location (see pic below). Naturally the date was taken down almost immediately and no one is commenting.

What do you think SodaHeads? Are The Rolling Stones really headlining Coachella, or is this all just an internet hoax? You should probably start saving up now just in case...

I don't particularly care. At this point they all look like starvation victims or zombies, at best. My FIL saw them the year that they did half time for the Super Bowel and asked, "Who are those ugly old trannys. They can't even sing".

The Rolling Stones are the world's greatest rock and roll band...I first saw them in 1964 with the Who and the Yardbirds as opening acts and have seen them 12 times since...other opening acts included Steve Wonder, Tina Turner and Dave Mathew's Band to name a few...

First I caught wind of it. And even if it were happening, I coulden't afford
tickets and additional expenses, such as parking, room and board, beer,
    souveniers, etc.

Its all a hoax for the bucks they are charging for a ticket. Its all about the money, so they will probably do it. Oldest, ugliest rock and roll band in the land.

I really hope it's a hoax. They should not be headlining Coachella. Save that for a currently popular band. When Robert Smith/The Cure headlined they were really pushing it because their recent music is nowhere near their old popular hits. Now the White Stripes... That was an amazing headliner. RHCP were pretty damn good that year too.

It's an acquired taste. Usually the people who flock to Coachella know and like the featured bands, or at least one of them. Maybe they are trying to expand their audience by including lame music.
