DISCLAIMER: This is NOT the Oscars, nor the Golden Globes or even Sundance. This is a poll where I make up the rules. It's about movies that you love....over the years of your life. The categories are my own and please stay within them. I will be asking several follow up questions and when I am done, all basic TYPES of movie categories will be covered, but to really inspire thought provoking responses, about movies that MEAN something to you, that you have or will share with your kids...let me do it my way...or please don't play
Rip you gut out, cry like a baby, scuff your nose from blowing it... classic Romances. NOT Romantic Comedies...Romances. These are not the rip your clothes of and boink til you blind type of movies, nor are they the teeny bopper, nerd gets girl, football player steals girl, girl goes back to nerd type. These are CLASSICS! Wrack your brain ya gotta have one.
Mine is the 1957 Classic An affair to Remember with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr.
My Dad and I first watched it when I was a child on one of our late night Friday night movie nights. We both cried, even though he had seen is tons of times. When the the 1994 remake with Warren Beatty and Annette Benning came out, he and I watched it together me now as an adult.

It was one of the most touching times I had with my father.
NOW WHAT IS YOURS???

Something like that. I reserve the right to change my mind at any time. Repeatedly.

No nudity, but the sexual tension was hot hot hot!
Spencer Tracey's speech at the tail end of this movie gets me every time. Its hard for me to believe he and Katherine Hepburn were not actually in love... in all their movies together
Don't like him as an actor but this movie 'got' me.
