The Mirror Effect: Are celebs more out-of-control today than a decade ago?

Some all addicted to the frame an some aren't. Simple as that.

The way that LiLo is going about in Hollywood she will be the next Anna Nichol Smith. Its time for the law to step in with all these Clubs and Restuarants in Hollywood where all the alchol and drugs are being distributed to the rich and infamous.

oh yeah there was a time when they had to be responsible for their behavior...ok thats kool but today the people that they call hollywood are trash and are being used temporarily so someone elese can get rich..back then they were responsible and the PUBLIC HELD THEM ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS..now they put out the very young for some ca-ching ca-ching when they are done making the money off of them its see ya ..

Some celebs Are very much out of controll but the there are some that are not. I mostly go with no that some just have problems like a lot of other people but IDK. Really all in all I think all of man kind it's self has been spiralling out of controll, it's not JUST celebs.

The celebs are the same as anyone with too much money is - they want - they buy. What may be out of control are fans demands. Decades back, what fans wanted & demanded were harder for them to get. Fans want to know everything - they want celebs attention, they want their autographs, their clothing, their pieces of property & their photos...which leads to paparazzi & an overkill worth of news & pictures of the rich & famous. We're seeing what *we* want to see...a smallish seedy side that's always been there but always been 'taken care of' by studios. Today all of that is gone & the celebrity is exposed for what they are - humans with too much demand put on them.

As long as there as people who do not know how to handle all the attention that's givien them there will be problems. I think the media attention has increased significantly over the years along with the millions of camera cell phones out there that makes almost anyone a apprentice news photographer. So if you sneeze the wrong way, it'll be on the internet...............

Many are without a doubt. But many begin acting like idiots with a bit of money and recognition and fame. This is understandable especially for the children. But face it most of us have done it. Many of us start before we are teens. And think WE KNOW IT ALL!! And that's all it takes for us to prove to everyone else we don't.
The celebs really need their families, friends and peers to care tor them enough step in and help them too see the mistakes they are making that are going to lead to trouble and more mistakes.

In an earlier time, celebrities were still big public images, but they were able to at least harness their wild side, and people actually looked up to them. Who can legit say they still look up to Britney Spears or Paris Hilton? Given, if you looked up to Hilton in the first place, you were probably pretty messed up, but you know the point I'm getting at.

It's always going to be the same. Its just the fact that our country (and a lot of the others) are so media-based that it seems as such.

Not out of unpresidented control. No. But, hip-hop HAS influenced every other pop culture into a more careless-who cares attitude. It has. Hip-hop became the most popular around late 1990's or early 2000's. Rap/or hip-hop(for ME they r the same)has always, mostly, influenced to NOT care. This leads to spiraling out of control a bit more. Not saying any other music doesnt, its just that rap/hip-hop does it more. And every one seems to like that junk.

DUDE, you smoking or what, it was happening before you even showed up on the scene. You just don't like rap or hip-hop. It's just publicized more cause people dwell on it more now than ever before. Opps now I'm talking about the crap too...... see what I mean?

I think he was talking about Certian rap/hip hop. Some of it I think might have influenced PART it BUT there are some that don't. Some rap/hip hop can thankfully stay away from the carelesss attitude type songs. Not all music is or will ever be the same as everything else. I think that "ulyknows1" should have just opened up and listened to more than one type of Rap/hip hop. Rap/ hip hop is JUST a different kind of rythem and singing. The lyrics can be in any type of music genre.

Gosh, that's a no brainer!

Celebrities have always expressed their inner desires in an overt manner, mainly because they can afford to. The more they are reinforced for any behavior, they more they think its ok, and the more they are going to do it. The big problem is that kids (people under 18) get to see all this acting out. I work with kids, under 18, and the mimic & practice the bad behaviors that the stars exhibit. Therefore people like me that work with kids have an uphill battle, trying to instill good values and behavior. Since tv says bad behavior is great. Kids think grown up are square or something worst. Thus the media needs to become more aware of the impact that they are having on the young growing minds of our society.

Most of them make real life the movie and the movie is also thier real life, go figure, marry the star who you screwed in the movie, screw him/her in real life and they still do not know each other....

Duh is correct...(of course not all of them are idiots, just like real life, some of us are idiots and some are not, though the ones' who claim not to ever be an idiot are the true idiots...) everyone follow that?
