It seems like only yesterday that MTV introduced the world to a bunch of guidos and guidettes who were focused on "gym, tan, laundry" on the "Jersey Shore." The show made overnight sensations of Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and others. But while their bronzed facades never seemed to fade, their brightly burning stars flared out fairly quickly.

A lot has changed for the "Jersey Shore" gang in three short years. Snooki recently gave birth to her first child, a son named Lorenzo, with her fiance Jionni Lavalle. "The Situation" has taken a shot at respectability by being a contestant on the far-more-classy reality show "Dancing with the Stars." Pauly D has managed to make a beyond- the-boardwalk career for himself as a DJ and was voted one of Vibe magazine's "Top 6 DJs Who Rocked in 2011." Heck, even Barbara Walters put them on her "Ten Most Fascinating People" list!
But on Thursday, MTV announced that Season 6, which premieres on October 4, will be the last for the residents of the Seaside Heights house. That doesn't mean fans won't be able to get their guido fix, though. The spin-off “Snooki and JWoww" is holding its own and was recently picked up for a second season. So there will still be lots of drama and hair poufs to satiate rabid devotees. But do you think it's time to board up the “Jersey Shore” beach house for good?

People just need to stop watching this crap... it's the viewers fault for allowing 'Jersey Whores' to be around this long.
The cancellation is well past due..How these no talent losers ever became so popular boggles the mind.
