'The Hunger Games' Skipping Comic-Con: Disappointed?

Fans of "The Hunger Games" film adaptation will have to wait for the release of the first film to get the dish from the actors and director.

Throw another big film in the pile of high-profile franchises that won’t be making a major splash Comic-Con this year: Lionsgate has confirmed to EW that next year’s highly-anticipated adaptation of "The Hunger Games" will not be holding a big Hall H presentation.

The books have a huge cult following so it is a bit surprising for "Games" not to have a presence this year.

Were you hoping it would be there and are you disappointed?

Not really, I'm just happy they are at least making a movie out of it.

I am just going to skip it all together.
Right now I am reading Narnia, and after that I have another 89 books I must read.
Plus My sister reminded me that I read 5 pages of the first book, and put it down with no regrets. Perhaps next year. Or on DVD, Liam is quite cute on the eye.

School and Pottermore will keep me really busy.

I've never really paid attention to Comic-Con, so I don't really care. I am, however, really excited for the movie because I really enjoyed the books. I don't understand why people are comparing it to Twilight though, it's completely different from Twilight.

I enjoy both the Hunger Games and the Twilight Series and I agree, I don't like how people compare the two. I could see if they are both mainly romance books (The Hunger Games has romance, but that's not the focal point like Twilight) or both vampire books and people were comparing the two, but they are both completely different. It's like comparing apples to oranges.

It isn't a comic book. It doesn't need to be at Comic-con.
I never understood that. Should it be renamed?

Hardly an Epic book so it will have NO impact on the success of this years Comic-Con.
The ending of the Harry Potter Movie Phenomena will overshadow all others.

It is an epic book. And many people would say that Twilight isn't an epic book but it still attracted hundreds of people to Comic-Con.

Why are you surprised? Twilight is a huge franchise, and many huge franchises go to Comic con.

Is it common to have books-turn-into-movies things at Comic-Con? Sorry, never been >_>

But I don't see the big deal or anything. Maybe they want to keep it a secret or something... Not that I really care. The books did nothing to catch my interest. At all.

I wouldn't be able to go but I can't wait for the film to come out and I don't want it ruined by accidentally reading even the smallest spoiler in a random article.

I'm excited about the movie though. Woody Harrelson as a drunk mentor? I'm game.
