What sport ends with closing ceremonies and no MVP? The Olympics. Bah! Time to move on to real sports... like football! And I don't need to say "American" before "football."

Football season begins in less than 3 weeks. I need to start practicing with mock drafts for my fantasy football league. I've gotta plan my first tailgate to the USC opener against the Rainbow Warriors of Hawaii (yeah, I know that Hawaii dropped the "Rainbow" from their team name, but I haven't.) Are you happy that football season is underway -- or are you sad that the Olympics are over?

Football is cool and all. But gymnastics takes a lot more strength and endurance to do one maltese cross than to push some dude away from a piece of leather.

Well it's one thing to be on a football team, but it's another to win a medal in the olympics. But oh I forgot, football is an olympic sport isn't it. America prides itself in football, which in effect is just people fighting over a piece of leather. And remember America watches football, the world watches olympics.

I know of several football players that could do curls with him and bench press 4 or 5 times his weight ! Not to mention, world class speed.

That's one of the reasons why I have never been to a football match. That and the fact I can't stand the game. I don't even like watching it on TV.
