Screamo is an extreme of post hardcore. Pg.99 isn't a emo band, but their still screamo. But you were correct about metalcore. You can eat a cookie.

No. Screamo is an exteme of post hardcore. With high screams. Metalcore is metal with low growls, and med screams with extreme metal/heavy metal rifts and hardcore punk/post hardcore elements and lyrics. Emo is the tone and doesn't have to be associated with screamo. Look at pg.99

Screamo is not a genre,it's Metalcore like rap is not a genre it's just rhyming words .And screamo is screaming in the Metalcore genre and rap is rapping in the Hip hop genre.

Finally someone who's said this! I can't even tell you how many countless arguments I've had with people who would swear up and down that "screamo" is a genre. It's not screamo, it's Metalcore or Post-hardcore.

I KNOW RIGHT! Seriously, what the hell is up with people. Just because people growl/scream, that doesn't mean its screamo. I've heard people call In Flames screamo, Slipknot Screamo, KoRn Screamo, etc.Its annoying as hell.

You don't know what your talking about. Screamo is an extreme of post hardcore. Metalcore is just post-hardcore with metal rifts growls, but the lyrics are usually post-hardcore/hardcore punkish.
