The CW recently announced that they have ordered a reality show called The Hunt, which is clearly inspired by The Hunger Games.
According to EW.com, “In The Hunt, 12 [tributes] teams of two are dropped into the wilderness without food, water or shelter. They must compete in a game where they'll rely on their physicality, survival skills and hunting skills to endure the harsh conditions and [kill] 'capture' one another."
Despite the fact that no children or teens will be harmed in the making of this show, the homage is pretty blatant. Instead of fighting to the death, competitors on The Hunt will spend a month battling for a cash prize. No premiere date is currently set.
So, what do you think SodaHeads? Is The Hunt brilliant or a bad idea?

Reality tv Hunger Games would be lame. A helicopter that drops in whenever someone gets thirsty will ruin it. A survival game is fine, but they'll need to up the stakes in a unique way or engage in unethical tactics to make it interesting.
Anybody remember Sci-Fi writer Robert Sheckley? He wrote stories about what would be called reality TV in today's world.
Where contestants played for keeps.
Mimicking it is ridiculous.
They're not actually killing each other you twat.
