'The Cleveland Show' given green light for two seasons. Is Fox crazy or genius?

'The Cleveland Show' will be a spin off of the popular cartoon 'Family Guy' and before a single episode hits television a second season will be in the making. Based on a character in the original 'Family Guy' cartoon, audiences will now watch family guy from character Cleveland's point of view. Is Fox crazy for promoting 'The Cleveland Show' or is this a potential cash cow?

    Cleveland is an engaging hilarious character. I'm sure the comic genius of Seth Mcfarlane and company will make this show a hit...will miss Cleveland on Family guy though

    Of course FOX going to sink all of their $$$ into it, because Seth McFarlan has already proven himself w/ not 1 but 2 winners. However, I'm skeptical.

    Altho, I've always loved Cleveland, he's not funny by himself. Cleveland is the str8 man & a sidekick in a classic comedy team. He's only @ his funniest when he's interacting w/ another character, ex: Peter, Quagmire or even Joe. (Remember when he & Joe had that racial argument about the bowling pins?)

    Even tho he'll have his own family, I can't see him having "wild & wacky antics" by himself. & other characters will "rule the roost" like his sexy teenaged step-daughter, Robert, or his street-wise gangsta jive-talking baby, Rallo. The only problem is that since he's seen as the father/main character, I still can't see him having that outrageous dynamic that other fathers/main characters have w/ their children-- like Peter w/ Stewie, Stan w/ Haley, or even Homer w/ Bart.

    If it doesn't pan out, Seth can just send Cleveland back to Qouhog, RI (w/ the high-testing family members aka Roberta & Rallo). They can write out every1 else in "TCS" including "Jerome: The New Black" & Cleveland can go back to doing what he does best, this:

    Besides, if Cleveland does come back w/ the kids, it'll give Chris a chance to drool over Roberta, Meg a chance to drool...''&""

    Having lived near to Cleavland most of my life, all I can say it that it's a good thing this show is animated. There are a lot of good restaurants, museums, and other things to do there, but there is also much poverty, crime, drug abuse, and gang activity.

    You must not watch Family Guy. Cause Cleveland is the name of a character, not the city. But a tv show about the city would be good too. Like the darker side of middle America.

    interesting if it works but only if the other family guy characters are there too. If it is just Cleaveland I think it has the potential to suck just like family dad! God I hate that show!

    great if the rest of the cast from Family Guy make consistent appearances. However, if the show focuses solely on Cleveland it will blow because he is just not an interesting character. I thought it would have been cool to give Quagmire his own show based on his sexual endeavors or even Joe with the show taking place before ending up in the wheelchair. I would have even preferred the monkey to get his own show in which they show his day to day life leading up to the point where he stays in Chris' closet. However, I love both Family Guy and American Dad and could be way off on my thoughts on The Cleveland Show. Heres hoping....

    I really don't know what to think. It'll probably get a lot of bad reviews because of racism and other things of that nature but I'm sure it'll be funny. Anything Seth does is hilariously epic.
