According to Deadspin, the Charlotte Bobcats are so bad, they don't even own their own website URL. Wait, what?! Well, CharlotteBobcats.com isn't even the official site for the NBA's worst team. It's the official site for the most oddly-named legitimate film studio in recent history. Coincidence? You decide on that. On the bright side, the team does own Bobcats.com. Well, at least that's a relief.
It doesn't seem like the Bobcats have attempted to shut down the studio of the same name -- or its website. Bobcats fans (assuming these exist) don't have much to be proud of. While the team made the NBA Playoffs for the first time just a couple years ago, the wheels soon fell off that wagon just as the optimism started to set in. This past year, the Bobcats became the owners of the worst season for a basketball team in NBA history. Hey, at least they made history!
Ironically, the majority owner and decision maker of the Bobcats is none other than the greatest NBA player of all-time: Michael Jordan. Obviously, his greatness on the court hasn't translated to success as a basketball executive -- not yet anyway. On Wednesday night, the Bobcats missed out on the No. 1 pick and Anthony Davis in the draft lottery, as first dibs went to the New Orleans Hornets. The Charlotte Bobcats seem surprisingly optimistic at No. 2 and many wonder why. We guess you can't get any worse than last season... right?
