The Beatles changed music with nearly each successive album offering. Look at all the other acts of the 60s and how they are ripping off the Beatles in one way or another; including the Stones. They did in 8 years what no one else has ever done. The only group I would consider putting in a similar bracket is U2. It took them 30+/- years to do what the Beatles did in 8. Even then, I'm reluctant to allow any other band into that rarefied air.

No doubt. As talented as a group or individually as any other group ever. Here's a fantastic version of one of my favorite songs of all time. Before you correct me, I know it wasn't a Beatles song.

The Beatles were more influential but the Stones are still rockin' out and put on one of the best live shows of anyone in the business.
