Talk radio station KLSX 97.1 will switch to a Top 40 format, dropping The Adam Carolla Show; Frosty, Heidi & Frank; and the Tom Leykis show on very short notice. I love The Adam Carolla Show and I am absolutely speechless in anger at this news. There are already a million Top 40 radio stations, but it's so hard to find a good radio talk show. I hate how radio is becoming homogenized. I realize it's a business, but it's not like these shows did not have large followings. I suppose talk radio does not bring in as much revenue as a pop music station, but it's still an awful decision to screw over the fans for a couple of extra bucks.

I wanted to make this question as a sort of memorial to the show. Let's share our favorite moments.

This sucks! I visit LA once a month or so and never miss this show. Stream it when I'm back home. Another station needs to pick this up soon.

My favorite part is where he writes all of Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman's materials and made thier careers...then he gets a radio show that's being canceled. Load of crap.

Adam is a very funny guy...I think he's funnier than Jimmy Kimmel...I don't know why Jimmy gets more love...I hope he lands somewhere else...

his rants about modern construction.. I'm a carpenter so I appreciate his remarks at the absurdity of codes and engineering excesses that are more compromising than a contribution to the building. He is one of my favorite talk radio shows and I don't even like talk radio as a rule but I listen to him on KWOD in sacramento so I hope they aren't changing their format that would suck and I sympathize with your loss

I hadn't heard of this, but it definitely sucks. I really dig Leykis, and Carolla. I won't miss that whiny beotch Strasser at all.

Actually, I listened to the show for the first year. Honestly I liked him more when he did Loveline. I think he and Dr Drew made a good team.I don't know, but for me at least, he was trying to be too much like Howard Stern in the AM. It worked for Howard, but I didn't think so for Adam.

Frosty, Heidi and Frank are the shit though! I'm so depressed. This is gonna seriously f*ck my day up. I listen to 97.1 pretty much all damn day! I just can't believe they're going off the air when they have such a strong fan base.

i NEVER KNEW ANYONE BUT MYSELF HAD EVER HEARD OF THIS SHOW. MY FAVORITE HAS ALWAYS BEEN FROSTY. SORRY TO SEE THE SHOW GO. KLSX IS BECOMING A STRAIGHT MUSIC STATION NOW. SOME STATIONS GET FRIGHTENED AND COMMIT SUICIDE. OH WELL. MAYBE NEXT PROGRAM DIRECTOR AND THE NEW OWNER. hEY CATCH THE NEW STATION KPFK LOTS OF MARXIST PREACHERS AND SUBSCRIPTION AIMED AT THE BLACK COMMUNITY. oLD hOUSE. jUST REAL MARXIST WITH A GODLY CLOAK.

I think they stopped doing this, but I loved Music Mondays. I just couldn't believe Adam could think of so many situations that call for music.

I am so pissed off! I listen to this station all day long. Teresa's news is awesome and I love when she reads her old diary entries. I'm even going to miss the fat jerk Tom Leykis, I love when talks about politics.
