In fact it is so true. I live in a neighborhood that literally looks down on 90210, physically and economically. I have no idea how that area code became synonymous with the "upper class".
I hate terms like that as well. The classification of people is disgusting. It is most apparent in India, where they still use the Caste system.
I'll let you know it I turn out to be wrong.
