You’ve got to love the viral cultural we live in. It’s a feeding ground for instant trends. And none seem to catch on more quickly than the snapshot fads. There’s the classic photo-bombing, in which wisecrackers pop in to destroy strangers’ cherished memories. There's planking, in which people lay flat like a board in unlikely scenarios. Draping, involves resting one’s arm on the back of a chair a la “Mad Men’s” Don Draper. And in the celebrity realm, there is Tebowing. In this case, the subject drops to one knee, resting head on fist in prayer just like quarterback Tim Tebow.

But a new image meme is sweeping the nation: Teoing. It’s all based on the tale of Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o. He was recently the victim of a hoax that his girlfriend, Stanford student Lennay Kekua, had died after a battle with leukemia. One problem: Since they never met and only had an online relationship, he didn’t know she didn’t really exist in the first place.
Not surprisingly, the art of Teoing involves putting an arm around and/or kissing an imaginary significant other. Hilarity ensues for everyone in the world, except for the Heisman Trophy runner-up. Do you think Teoing is funny or mean?

Planking, Owling, Tebowing, this - enough! It's stupid and you look stupid doing it!
That ought to be outlawed, with restitution and hevy sanctions resulting
for those who are so mean.
Also, this is the interwebz. Of course it is funny.
Hey Te’o, and everyone else wasting their time with imaginary women online, date REAL women!
