Seth MacFarlane took the top box office spot by delivering raunchy humor through a cuddly teddy bear in “Ted.” The Mark Wahlberg film might be the best live-action film with a CG character ever.
“The Lord of the Rings” Trilogy

Considered by some to be the greatest CG character of all time, the “precious” Gollum steals the show in the “Lord of the Rings” movies.
“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows — Part I”

Dobby made his debut in “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.” But it was his moving farewell in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows — Part I,” that secured his position as one of the great CG characters.

This weekend “Ted,” the fuzzy little teddy bear with the foul mouth, dominated the box office. Many people assumed that Matthew McConaughey and Channing Tatum’s male stripper movie “Magic Mike” would be the victor this past weekend. But it seems that audiences would rather watch a wise-cracking plush toy than a bunch of hard-bodied studs.

The raunchy buddy comedy between a man (played by Mark Wahlberg) and his childhood stuffed animal pulled in $54.1 million. Apparently, “Ted” creator Seth MacFarlane of “Family Guy” fame knows something that “Magic Mike” director Steven Soderbergh hasn’t figured out yet — movie fans love a movie with a good CG character in it.

While “Ted” captured audiences this weekend, only time will tell if the flick will join the ranks of the best live action movies with CG characters. Will the teddy bear's career endure like that of Yoda from the “Star Wars” franchise or Gollum from “Lord of the Rings”? Will he go down in film history books alongside Stuart Little and Dobby the House Elf?

That is the original King Kong starring Faye Ray from 1933. The latest one from 2005, still causes me pain when I watch Naomi Watts running around Skull Island in her bare feet. There must be so many cuts on her feet that it would be a relief to be captured and to rest in the hands of Kong while her feet heel.

Why the inconsistency of answer options? Some questions offer "other" while others, like this one, don't. And I would have chosen "other" for this one because Teddy from Steven Spielgerg's AI was the best!

You're gonna make me cry again, with your little montage thing here! Man, JK Rowling just couldn't pull any punches, killing everyone we met along the way, and cared about, all the way down to killing Hedwig! But losing Dobby hurt a whole lot more than I even expected it to, and I cried when I read the book.
