Tebow Trade Story Reeks of a Media Agenda: Does Media Want to Ruin Tim Tebow?

Believe HALF of what you see and NONE of what you hear. Don't. believe the 'hype'. All done for 'the numbers', 'the ratings', 'the share of the market' and it all boils down to $$$-corporate greed, media moguls and the 1%-ers the one percenters. that run this country. A mind-numbing distraction from topics and issues of critical importance. I know you HATE like hell to be dragged from your comfort zone, but in case you didn't know it, or maybe you are trying to ignore it, the United States of America is at WAR, the US Government is spending money it does not have, Education, Health Insurance/ Healthcare, Economy, Homeless and Unemployment, Gas Price, Groceries, Crooked Banking System, Wall Street Cheats, Stolen Identity. There is too much 'Sparkle and Fluff' media being shoved down our throats. The media needs a 'High Colonic' so that thoroughly researched, accurate, honest and fair facts are included in print, radio, television and internet news. Stick to the facts, just the facts. Sodahead, shame on you for perpetuating unsubstantiated rumors, gossip, misinformation, intentional inaccuracies(lies), distorted facts(lies), HYPE. Please focus on what is REALLY IMPORTANT.

They hate, loathe, despise and revile anyone with actual values. And make a concerted effort to bring them down.

A lot of athletes pray before they compete. During the Olympics, you could see that a lot of athletes do it. For some reason, the media really likes to hate on Tim Tebow for it. Is Tebow really an outspoken Christian? All I know of him is that he prays openly, which I don't consider outspoken. I couldn't see the story in the link.

He is a sub par player who gets massive amounts of Great Press

Dilfer was an adequate quarterback and did not suck, he just wasn't a flamboyant press hog.

Dilfer was better than Tebow, won a super bowl yet most people don't even know who he is out side of football circles . Yet everyone knows Timmy .

True, but you can't blame Tebow, it's the press who continues to keep the Tebow story alive....

I don't blame Tebow .. I am pointing out the press have giving him more positive press than other people in his position yet you guys are claiming they are out to get him because he is a Christian . When facts are there are more Christians and nice guys in the NLF besides Tim.

What a stupid premiss: The media is out to get Tebow because he's a Christian. Right, that's why the media was always after Mother Teresa and Pope JPII - right? Or President Obama, Vice President Biden, President Bush, President Clinton, President Bush (41), President Regan, President Carter, . . . . . . . . . . . and President Washington.

You know there are a lot of Christians in the NFL right ? And if they were out to get Timmy they would not have giving him a press conference for being a back up .

I know the media is only picking on him because of his beliefs and the things he does to show his beliefs ,no other player does what he does.

HE is not being "picked" on . The fact that all you people know how Tebow is and not many other great players says a lot .

The others are not nearly so well known to put scripture on their face, and actively acknowledge God in front of entire stadiums, support missions and pray without ceasing.

But Tim is a phenom, largely because he is and former SEC, with really neat story and a deep love of God. The fact that his mom was told to abort him, and didn't makes him unique.

After Every game people pray in the middle of the stadium.

Our high schools do that here, no one makes a fuss, and if they try it, we will still do it.

I like this .. however I don't mind people praying after a game.. I am point out that your golden more is the the only person of faith who plays the game .

I don't know about that. Gabby Douglas praised God after her gold medal Olympic performance and didn't receive backlash for it. Tim Tebow definitely gets a lot of undeserved flak for his beliefs though.

Many of the track stars publically thanked God as well.

I guess all the obsessive positive attention he gets over other, more skilled and capable, athletes would ruin anyone.

During football season we are lucky to go a week without another story about him. Many involving painting people who don't like him as hating him because of his religion.

The only way the media might be trying to ruin him is to lift him up so highly people become sick of him. Personally, I'm sick of this victim complex people seem to have when it comes to people like Tim Tebow. "The whole world is out to get and destroy him because he is Christian."

Please. The media has made him out to be the best thing to hit the NFL in years. This has led to other, better players being completely overlooked. Stop complaining about the media trying to ruin him.

Who the hell cares about this guy, he can't even make it to the Superbowl.

um....neither did the great Dan Marino....Fran Tarkington, Warren Moon, Boomer Esiason...Archie Manning......and they played for a whole lotta years....Tebow is a kid.
