I am a huge football fan, and have seen my share of good and bad players come and go. I remember when Vick came into the league, he was highly touted for his athletic ability, but severely reamed for his lack of accuracy or decision making ability. His staunches critics even said he shouldn't even be in the NFL!

Now fast forward a few years and enter Tim Tebow. I enjoyed watched Tebow at Florida, but he was by no means NFL Quarterback material. He's big, physical, and has a nose for the end zone, but not good enough to lead and NFL team. You know he's terrible...I know he's terrible, yet he's taken in the first round and treated as if he's the second coming of John Elway! A lot of fans love him, despite his inability to read defenses, proneness to throw interceptions, etc... I just don't get it. I mean, if you were trying to win games, who would you want as your quarterback, him or Vick?

Besides Vicks off the field troubles in the past or Tebow's squeaky clean image, why does it seem like Tebow get's a pass? Someone help me out with this one!

Vick can actually throw the ball. Needs to learn to stay in the pocket the throw the ball and not try to run it. Tebow can't throw worth a flip

I think you haven't noticed, but Vick has become more of a pocket passer than ever has ever been in his career. His stint with the Eagles has been a transformation to him. Besides, I do want my quarterback to scramble if the pocket collapses. The day of the pure pocket quarterback is vanishing...

That scrambling is getting him some broken ribs..........

Hey, it's part of football. Peyton was banged up and couldn't play for a year. He was not a scrambler at all. Maybe if he had been able to, it might would have saved him that neck injury.

Romo got hurt standing in the pocket, just like Farve did.

All those guy have more weight than Vick too. I don't hate Vick man. I'm a 49ers fan. I'm stuck with Alex Smith. Just think, I could gotten Aaron Rogers over him that 2005 or 04 draft...........DUMB

Vick sure has lead his team to more wins than Tebow has in his career. He has more passing touchdowns, rushing touchdowns, passing yardage per season, and rushing yards per season. Tebow has yet to throw a tight spiral.

Vick has proven himself to be an outstanding football player. He isn't however an outstanding person nor is he all that durable.

I agree, which is why I opted to exclude each of their off-field pluses and minuses. Vick is older than Tebow, which may contribute to the durability issue. I would still take Vick over Tebow if I were trying to win games.

I don't' think you can sum up an entire career in 2 or three wins... I think that's why Peyton is there and Tebow is in NY.

His career isn't long enough so i believe you can sum up his career in two or three wins, cause there ain't much of a career there.

If we look at the pure talent and percentage rates by seasons....Vick wins that hands down. Tebow just isn't a very good quarterback at all. Like I said, he's a quarterback that can't even throw a decent spiral. They are still having to work on the basics with him in NY, things that are taught in High School.

He is an NCAA national champion at Florida, he is a quarterback, just not one that fits the NFL mold. Slinging Sammy Baugh couldn't throw a spiral, neither could Sid Luckman

I may be wrong...but I doubt he makes it into the Hall of Fame. I just can't see him inducted amongst the likes of Elway, Montana, Kelly, Unitas, etc...

I'll have to agree, it is a long shot, but his career has just started. I also agree that right now Vick is certainly more talented. I am just as of now not ready to throw Tebow under the bus.
