Taylor Swift Nominated for Five CMA Awards: Does She Deserve It?

She's just amazing and this year was an amazing year for her. She deserves every award she's won/been nominated for.

Even though I think she's a great role model for the younger kids there are way better people who could be in her place and for her to win entertainer of the year!? I mean really why couldn't have any of those amazing men, one who's music doesn't all sound the same and don't mainly just appeal to all the pre-teens have won! Anyone of then should have!

Their are other country music star that deserve it more than she does. They have been at it for years. No I don't listen to country music but I do know people that do.

I thought they posed together for a pic showing off their awards. He's just jealous that he's not being nominated for that many awards.

One thing I have to give credit to TS is her ability as a songwriter. I think she is very creative and love the lyrics of most of her songs. I also believe she will be a great songwriter....I just hope she would share some of her songs to other artists...because fans will get a more appreciation of her music.

Awards for TS as a singer or an entertainer....that I don't think she deserve it. She has big concerts sell-outs or albums sales are mainly due to her remarkable Management team. They able to capture what work well for her and it seems that they always got their "timing" right.

IMO, TS does not have great vocal and all her songs are pretty much the same...she has a lot of pteens/teens fans ...and that's help her sales.

For mature audience and one who appreciate good music...there are more better artists out there than TS.,....but one thing for sure, she will always be a great songwriter but not a great singer.

YEP, she puts on a good show, writes her own songs, and sings OK, and she's good looking and seems nice, her record sales support the awards, so why not.....That is if Kaya West doesn't jump on stage and try to grab the awards..........

taylor swift has absolutely ZERO talent

It is the CMA, Not the PMA. She is a Pop Star. Not a Country Music Star. She is very talented, but this is the CMA. Not the Teeny-Bopper awards.

If she would be awarded by popularity and albums sold, then yes, she deserves it. But she does not deserve this award if it is based on talent. She has no pitch range in her voice. She can't play the guitar other than basic chord strumming. Then again, large awards that are handed out like this usually are based on albums sold, not talent.

While I do applaud her greatly for having he integrity to not depend entirely on others to just feed her songs to sing, she still has troubles with her live presence and ability. Just sayin' :-/

She is popular, selling out huge venues, and getting all the radio play the DJ's can give her, just like all the country stars past and present, so she does meet all of the criteria for commercial success in country music and isn't that what the award is based on?

Why is everyone so down on Taylor Swift? She's okay...

I guess some people are impressed easily because she's young and writes her own songs. But I don't think she's that talented. I think this has go to do more with popularity and publicity too. Her wining the country awards. Because I don't think that genre is that popular this kind of put them in the public eye or news with her winning. She doesn't even really sound country.

She does but there are many talented singers as well as Taylor.
