Surprised that the world's richest got richer still in 2012?

Sadly, that's how our world works.

This is NOT a new thing. It has been going on forever, especially with those first born to wealth. Have some of you not had history classes to blame it on the pas four years? And as far as the recession is concerned, it started before pOTUS was elected the first time. There are many fine men we'll never know the kind of president they would make. There have been many presidents who have had us all fooled - and party doesn't matter. Just as the House was ready to cut our wages and shut down government if it wasn't done still managed to vote for something - to give raises to themelves. Talk about costing more taxes!! They have been doing that ever since I can remember and most likely long before then. Lots oof states and counties have given tax breaks to companies to bring their businesses to their area for a long time. The largest one in my own area would have 5 years tax free. They built their building and stayed open exactly the time they were given tax free, closed down, and left the area. Some call it shrewd and a great way for them to ear money. i say throwing all those perople out of work and having a free ride on county and state taxpaers is down right greedy and imoral. I don't envy these crooks at all. They are the worst of the worst only a quarter step above the banks.

Our government makes it harder and more expensive to employ people and load on expensive bureaucracy to open or run a business. They make it easy to farm the production out to the cheapest country. Why don't they make it easy to start a company and hire people, and manufacture here? You'd be crazy to now.

bama, who is great friends with jeff immelt, gave all of his supporters a get out of jail free card, so as not to pay their fair share of taxes.

The more entrenched they get in their power worldwide, the more money they ammass.

That always happens during a bad economy.

Especially congress, they always get rich in a down economy.

The rich getting richer is good for everyone. Capital investment creates jobs. If the rich did not risk their capital the economy would freeze. Getting richer is the reward for risking the capital. It is simple and it is fair.

These are people who are smart with their money and know how to make a lot of it.

Let's not be jealous of their success. They're not the reason why the economy sucks or why you don't have a job.

I guess we will never really know, what kind of a President Romney would have been. One thing for sure, Obama is taking us the wrong direction. He just wants to keep on spending and putting it on the card, with no respect for our grandchildren.

Your right....we won't know....just like we will never know how Gary Johnson, or Ron Paul would have been....its so sad....those two had good ideas....stop wars - save money.....delete IRS- save money....Bring all Troops home- make money....delete dept of energy and education and let the states dept handle thier own state - save money........but sadly ...American people didn't want to save money ....they just wanted to pay more taxes.....and that's what we got......."we get what we deserve" :(

Thats right......nice attitude! I live in New Mexico and this has become Obama Country for sure. The liberals, especially hispanics love Obama! Most people that I know are happy being on welfare and all the new government programs. It has been great for them. They can get paid for babysitting their own children. They get foodstamps. Family members can get paid for taking care of their own grandma, while grandma is taking care of her own adult kids and grandkids. The teenage mothers get a check for being single mothers. They get free medical and dental! Their boyfriends get free room and board and sex. They get an extra check sometimes because some of the children have ADHD! It is getting to be a free for all and people are just loving it. You can get assistance, just about for anything, with no questions asked. Our government has become a joke. I hope I get to see the day when these people will no longer have a government that caters to them! You are right, people asked for Obama's consequences to come!

What are you talking about? Most Americans have been and are still concerned. And Romney is not President, now is he? Obama owns this mess he and his administration created and continues to screw over the American people. SO put the blame where it belongs....We're sick of all the excuses from this batch of joker fools!!!

I'm not sure what part of the debate your referring too...All I said was Romney (if president) told the American people he would raise taxes....Why..??....no one answered that..??....it was accepted.......so hey Lisa....."we get what we deserve"...maybe next time instead of calling people tinfoil heads.....might take them a little more seriously...haha

It is the outcome that the government and gangster banksters worked very hard to accomplish, and the American suckers fell for it hook, line and sinker! Give them more, they don't have every damned penny yet!

The rich for the most part get richer in today's world. The governments cater to the richest. And let's face it, Obama talks big on progressive taxes but always sides with the more Republican view points when it comes down to it. The middle lower classes are getting higher taxes and somehow the rich are still sliding by. God forbid that some people actually want to increase taxes on them and cut tax loop holes and get some of that money back in the struggling economy.

No...but I'd note that they all got older, too...and so closer to meeting their Maker, and finding out what the penalty is for greed and gluttony...and, of course, the penalty for the dirty little tricks they pulled and paid for to ensure that they could divert so much of the nation's and world's wealth to themselves.

It is funny .. people are complaining about Obama on here . Yet at the same people on the right are complaining that Obama hates the rich . How can you have both.

Obama is like most of the powerful and influential. Do as I say, not as I do. He is the most corrupt politician ever, bought and paid for by his handlers.
Most on this site like to hate the rich, but that is counter-productive and just the type of class warfare that the Obama machine uses to keep the public stirred up against the Republicans and to marginalize the other parties.

Rather than hating the rich, a productive focus would be on dealing with the issues, the facts and the evidence, and standing up for integrity, for fairness and for justice in the formation of legislation. Today's legislation is written by special interests for their own gain, parsed by bureaucrats (lawyers) who can twist and distort when writing regulatory rules based on such legislation so that it serves their own purposes, and then administered against the middle class who cannot afford to fight financially such misuse of the law.

The most corrupt politician ever ..you really need to get a historical prospective of the in which you live. Also how is Obama the one doing class where for when Republicans discounted 47% of the population due to what they make before the election ?

The line between crony capitalism and socialism is fading fast. New ideas and innovations are no longer wanted. What you see now will be gone in a few years and America will no longer be the land of opportunity. If only we could kick out the crooks that run the economy; but it will never happen.
