Children were meant to get dirty and play outside. Why ruin $1000 outfit when you get one for $10

Kids aren't supposed to care who designed their clothes or how much they cost. If you're willing to spend a lot of money on their clothes, at least let them choose what they like.

children should wear what's comfortable, why just children everyone should wear what feels comfortable..no need for designer clothes.. Suri is cute herself she don't need any designer clothes... Great decision there

If they can afford it and have so many they don't care if they're ruined, then go right ahead.

To me it seems impractical and kind of wasteful to put kids in designer clothes. I've also never seen the point in buying designer clothes anyway, don't see the appeal?

I say go for it if you can afford it. The child probably isn't going to really appreciate it, though.

Designer clothes, I find, don't look significantly "cuter" than regular clothes. If you can afford it, then fine, it's your own decision... but considering how fast children grow and how messy they can be, it is silly.

Buying them a few designer outfits here and there is fine if you have the cash but to not buy anything but is ridiculous considering how fast the child will outgrow the clothes.

i think most designer clothes are kind of stupid. people can look good without them. so its extra stupid for a kid to have it. but if someone really wants to spend all that money then that's ok i guess. As long as it doesn't make the kid think their better than anyone else.

Neither cute nor silly. If they don't want to buy them any more that's just a wise decision and teaches her normalcy.

Silly my azz.. It is borderline criminal the way some supposedly "caring, loving" VICARIOUS living parents paint a target on their own child's foreheads just to pacify their own desperately insane bobble chasing needs.

I have to say, I've been shopping for baby clothes lately and it gets very tempting to purchase designer. I've seen outfits that I think are so cute and will look cute on the baby; for me its hard to walk away. At the end of the day it does seem pointless since he'll grow out of it in a few months BUT when he's in that outfit it feels like it MIGHT be worth it.

Designer clothing should only be bought and worn by those who are post puberty and growth spurts.

O.o I think her mother has her head on her shoulders but I do have to wonder why or maybe designer stuff on special occasions? Her mother and father clearly have the money for it and to be honest I always thought catholics loved nice stuff. *shrug*

Well at least she'll be brought up in a more 'normal' environment. =P I think it'll be good for development.

They will grow out of it- obviously. It's fine for adults to invest in quality designer clothing, but if I had a kid she/he would wear regular clothing until they can pay for on their own.

Like, no normal kid is going to care if their clothes cost $15 or $1500. They're going to get it dirty and outgrow it anyway. It's cute but not practical.

Suri is to young to know anything about designers clothes any a way! You can shop at Wal-Mart,Target,kmart and people won't know if you have on designers clothes or not. Katie, that's a wise move, that right save your money, it's only a tag!

Nicer, dressy clothes are okay, but when your kid is wearing $300 play clothes it's too much.

It's always pretty absurd to pay more for a product when there is no actual difference in quality, yes.

There is a definite difference in quality when it comes to clothes and what you pay for them. You don't have to pay hundreds of dollars to get quality but you do get what you pay for and clothes from Old Navy, Target, Wal-Mart, etc. look cheap sometimes and even when they don't they don't wash or hold up well.

Whether her parents can afford it or not (which they obviously can), just dress your kids in clothes that are comfortable. Who are they (the kids) needing to impress, anyway?

On a side note: Suri is the spitting image of her mother. I mean, I can see a bit of Tom Cruise, but she's definitely taking after mom.

they grow out of them in no time flat.

their clearance rack is about as big if not bigger than their non clearance rack and when the clothes are on clearance they knock those puppies down cheaper than walmart. If I had kids, I wouldnt buy clothes anywhere else. I know alot of parents that don't. 4 bucks for nice jeans and 3 bucks for a rugby shirt, c'mon. Then you can resell them puppies back on ebay for more than you paid for them (they are originally pricey). yes i have alot of little cousins.
