Suri Cruise Has a Body Double to Confuse the Paparazzi: Smart or Sad?

According to the Daily News Suri Cruise has a body double that stands in for her to throw off the paparazzi. Reportedly last week, Katie Holmes picked Suri up from school and took her back home with a slew of photogs following along.

But when Katie got back in her black SUV a few minutes later the young girl in the same purple coat and Ugg boots with dark brunette hair was not Suri. Holmes was on her way to a local eatery, where the real Suri arrived later through a side entrance with the nanny.

Apparently, dad Tom Cruise is obsessed with security surrounding his daughter. He even insists on background checks on any of Suri’s friends’ families before they can go on play dates. He has allegedly increased security in recent months and has even consulted with kidnapping specialists.

Suri is one of the most high-profile kids in the Hollywood scene and now that’s she out and about in New York a lot, perhaps it makes sense to see that no harm comes to her. Or maybe she should just be allowed to live a somewhat normal life as much as possible. What do you think: Is the fact that Suri Cruise has a body double smart or sad?

that kid is no more important than any other kid in this world it shouldnt have special privilages at least not any more than the norm for celeb kid hell obamas kids should be treated like evryone elses kid they are not better than anyone else and shouldnt be treated like they are superior

there's never anything wrong with being prepared.

since we're on Cruise, i heard something several years back about him building an anti-alien bunker underneath a house somewhere. don't know if its true or not and in the end i really don't care, cool idea though however impractical. most people think doomsday preppers are crazy, i think they're anything but, well most of them, lol

What on earth is someone thinking to allow their daughter to be a double?? This is forced work on a baby girl, IMO. It would be weird to have to act as the daughter of two crazies, well I guess just Tom is nuts.

And I would think getting to know people personally is a better way to know if someone is safe for your child or not. You can do a background check, but that doesn't guarantee anything. Being personally involved does.

It's sad that a innocent little girl is not allowed to live a normal life... The media is always making someone's like a living H*** in one way or another... Why doesn't the media stay with what they do best "LYING" to the public... Their only concern is selling their rags of misinformation and dem/lib lies...

I like the First Amendment as much as anyone, but someone has to do something about these paparazzis. Celebrities are people too. Being rich and famous does not mean they don't have a right to live their lives without being harassed.

peace and serenity for Tom and Katie as well as for herself.

Sad that she has to have that kind of protection...but smart on the part of Tom and Katie. Suri is a beautiful little girl and I'm sure she is some whacked out pervert's wet-dream. I can certainly understand why some stars like Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner prefer to keep their family lives very low profile....to protect their kids from the loonies out here!

The world is not like it was when I was a kid and could roam about without fear of getting abducted. Back then you never heard it happening and I am not sure why it is so common now but it is and it's very scary. Not to mention her daddy is worth a lot of money and some scumbag would probably love to snatch her up, use and abuse her and then get paid for it.

It may not be that more kids are getting abducted nowadays; it may just be that the news covers it more now. I hear all the time about abducted kids all over the country, thanks to the internet and the news channels, but before the internet blew up and became so big, abduction stories were probably more of a local thing.

It's smart that they did that! Have you seen how upset Suri gets at being hounded? Can't they leave Tom and Katie's little princess alone when she starts crying? I understand that paparazzis need to make a living, but doing it at the expense of ruining a child's life like hers or being blood guilty by causing Princess Diana's death or humiliating Kate by taking nude photos of her when away from the public eye is shocking. I choose not to buy magazines anymore because I can't be entertained by the ruination of peoples' lives. These paparazzi must be curbed and find other jobs to support their families instead of wrecking others! Granted, they have their place at the Oscars or where they are needed when the stars want them around...not when they take their kid for an ice-cream!
