Super Bowl Sunday is a day to invite people over, break in the grill, prepare your best dip recipe, and hey, maybe even watch The Big Game. (Giant and Patriots. February 5. 6:30 ET on NBC. You're welcome.) But the Super Bowl isn't just known for its football; it's also known for its commercials. Because the air time is so expensive, only the finest ads get to play.
Brian Steinberg from Ad Age told CBS, "I think the ads this year will be based more on good stories and visually arresting scenes. With people talking about the ads for weeks before and days after the event, it's no longer enough just to have a star smile in your commercial. There has to be a bigger concept that people can discuss for a longer period of time." But the usual suspects will be there, too. SOPA-crippled GoDaddy signed on the new Pussycat dolls, to which Steinberg said, "That's been their shtick and they're sticking to it."
We'll spare you the GoDaddy preview. Instead, here's a two-and-half minute Ferris Bueller-inspired Honda ad starring Matthew Broderick. Rumor has it he refused at first. One of the ad's creators explained, "At first, he passed. But then a week later he called and asked if it was still on the table. I think he just wanted to be convinced that we would do the movie justice."

lol Kinda says something about the game, though.
This year Madonna could be the best part of the shows if there are several "wardrobe malfunctions."
sorry, bitter niners fan.
