Earlier this week, CBS issued an advisory to the artists attending the Grammys warning against risqué or obscene outfits. At Sunday night's ceremony, some stars appeared to heed the guidelines and didn't show an inch of skin. But others looked like they took the CBS directive as a dare.
J-Lo’s nearly waist high slit prompted her to mention the advisory to E!, saying, "They didn't say anything about leg." Miranda Lambert's plunging neckline exposed her cleavage, and almost her belly button, but kept "the under curvature of the breasts fully covered." Rihanna's tight-fitting bodice was mostly mesh and so sheer her nipples showed through the fabric.

Katy Perry had everyone buzzing with her green gown with the peekaboo chest that was more than just a peek. Kelly Rowland's geometric cut outs hid the essential body parts, but did not leave much to the imagination, while D'manti's lace number covered the required areas, barely, but exposed just about everything else. During the show, Alicia Keyes' under boob was exposed while she wailed on the drums.
But fleshy curves were not the only items on watch by the Standards and Practices department. They also cautioned against profanity on clothing. So Deadmau5, Kat Von D's date for the big event, self-censored his hat which read "Your S*** Bums Me Out" by putting black tape over the "S" so the expletive read "hit" instead. What do you think: Who pushed the boundaries the most?

No idea who she is but...wtf?
I think it was wrong to try and tell people what they can and can not wear.
I don't see an issue with a dress code at a private event though.
I just have an issue with imposing a dress code.
Censorship of freedom and self-expression is never a good thing : )
I still do not think a dress code should be forced on any of the attendees.
I just don't see an issue with enforcing a dress code as long as it's not something people are forced to attend.
These are singers with their own since of style and prohibiting them from expressing themselves at this event is pointless.
That is the main reason most people only watch the red carpet event and not the rest of the show to see whom is wearing what.
I am just saying : )
