Checking into and staying at a hotel seems like a simple, mundane thing to do ... but not for many celebrities. According to Travel + Leisure magazine, celebs from Lil Wayne and Britney Spears have been banned for bad behavior.

lil wayne

In 2010, the Wynn in Las Vegas banned rapper Lil Wayne, who had just completed an eight-month sentence for attempted criminal possession of a weapon, Travel + Leisure reports.

Hollywood's Standard Hotel reportedly banned Amanda Bynes after she was arrested on suspicion of DUI. And perhaps most famously, Charlie Sheen was reportedly banned for life from New York City’s Plaza Hotel in 2010, after he flew into a rage an caused $20,000 worth of damage while a porn actress hid in the bathroom.

In 2010, Paris Hilton was reportedly banned from staying at the Wynn and Encore resorts after cocaine was found in her purse. And the Chateau Marmont reportedly banned Britney Spears in 2007 due to her ... wait for it ... bad table manners. So many celebs, so many hotel bans! So what's the deal? Do celebrities think they are above the rules?

    And usually they are.

Lohan hasn't served nearly the time a regular person would.

Britney never served for her drunken incidents.

Lil Wyane, Charlie Sheen, and other should have gone to jail for destruction of property LIKE regular folks would have.

Of course they are, that is why the do it, they KNOW they can get away with it. The stories from flight attendants should be proof enough.

Some celebrities have such rude behavior, trash hotel rooms, have very bad reputations. You can't blame hotels from banning them. These celebrities should show some class, show respect, but many from the newer generations don't.

Hotels try to provide a quiet ,comfortable atmosphere for their guests who are paying for the hospitality. If these yahoo stars want to raise hell then they should do it with friends at their 5 million dollar mansion and not in a hotel with other guests who just want to enjoy a quiet evening.

We, are all from the time we are able to understand, whether its taught to us or we learn through example know how we are supposed to present ourselves in public, socially, and for our own self respect., the fact that some of these people are in the limelight and have large bank accounts make them no diffrent than us in as much as thier duties to be obligated to honoring thier manners, self respect and acting as decent human beings exspecially when in public or while in someone else's home or property are concerned., some of them feel for some odd reason or another that they need to act out in order to be noticed, have they forgotten they are already in the limelight? Perhaps they are suffering from mental disorders that they haven't had checked out, bipolar, anxiety, depression etc... If so they might want to spend some of that money on someone who will give them all the attention they crave, a good psycologist!

That is because they are. Heck, anyone with a little money has a different set of rules to play with. Case in point: Back in the day, if I was speeding I would get a ticket and points on my license. Nowadays, I can just pay a lawyer 200 and do a one day course. No points, no increase in insurance. I can only imagine what the top 10% are getting.

I think most celebrities are not mindless dopes. When they do make a mistake the whole world finds out, so they need to really be more careful.

But...some of these bans are for stupid reasons. Are hotels trying to get some free advertising by banning celebs?
