"South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are notorious for finishing their shows just hours before they air. The most recent episode, which aired on Wednesday, addressed the Penn State scandal -- a demonstration of the show's flexibility and timeliness, and a monument to the stress they no doubt endure in the process.

But whatever they do, it works. USA Today reports "South Park" has been renewed through 2016, which would close out the show's 20th season. Parker and Stone explained they're still enjoying the work after 15 seasons. They said in a statement, "South Park is a blast and we can't wait to make more." Do you think "South Park" is the funniest show on TV?

South Park has satire so complex that it flys right over most people's heads and just comes off as pointlessly vulgar, immature, and mindless when it is actualy one of the smartest, most clever and on point shows on television.

South Park can be VERY funny. But funnies? No. Not sure which is.
I didn't get to see the whole thing about the Penn State one (not yet) but I got to see a clip of it... it didn't seem funny in that short context. .

I cannot make up my mind about which show is THE funniest TV show, but SouthPark is definitely one of the top 3 funniest!!
Other 2 are Chappelle's Show and the Adventure Time :))))

Without doubt, the funniest show on TV except when they do the really off color sexually explicit shows. Erich Cartmann reminds me of my son Erich who has grown up to be a Chicago Cop. He is still a stinker like Cartmann.

Parker and Stone are able to keep things extremely current, which probably adds to the humor. It's the only show I make sure I watch every week. Plus when you can get passed all of the offensive stuff, there's actually a pretty decent message in the episodes. I used to be that way about Family Guy as well, but it's not as great as it used to be.

It's right up there. In no particular order my favorites are Titus, All in the Family, Big Bang Theory, Three's Company, Night Court, Family Guy, Married with Children, Kids in the Hall, Simpsons, Whose Line is it Anyway, Modern Family, Community, Just Shoot Me, Cheers, etc, etc, etc.

South Park is one of the very few shows that made me laugh so hard I started crying.
