"South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are notorious for finishing their shows just hours before they air. The most recent episode, which aired on Wednesday, addressed the Penn State scandal -- a demonstration of the show's flexibility and timeliness, and a monument to the stress they no doubt endure in the process.

But whatever they do, it works. USA Today reports "South Park" has been renewed through 2016, which would close out the show's 20th season. Parker and Stone explained they're still enjoying the work after 15 seasons. They said in a statement, "South Park is a blast and we can't wait to make more." Do you think "South Park" is the funniest show on TV?

South Park has satire so complex that it flys right over most people's heads and just comes off as pointlessly vulgar, immature, and mindless when it is actualy one of the smartest, most clever and on point shows on television.

i used to be one of those people who always heard how offensive south park was, but never took the time to actually watch it. then when i finally did, i instantly became a fan!! not only is the show hilarious, but, as its been said many times before, it really is a smart, well thought out, suprisingly deep show!! i love it. lol

Take note: every 'comedy' on television needs a laugh track. The Simpson's, Family Guy and South Park do not and are the 3 funniest shows on television. Even the rotten, Saturday Night Live uses a laugh track because no one in the audience ever laughs.

I have yet to see a show that takes SO many chances and pushes the envelope likeSouth Park. Its the most conservative show on the air right now. Its not afraid to criticize liberal sacred cows. Which most comedies would NEVER touch.

In all honesty, I think this show is as dumb as Beavis and Butthead. I don't enjoy either of these shows.

There are a lot of funny shows on tv so I can't really narrow down to the funniest, though I'm really enjoying Last Man Standing a lot right now.

Although I do think South Park is hilarious at times and i'm glad they were renewed for another season, I find the MSM to be the funniest of all shows on the brainwash box'
The obvious disinformation as well as the deciet generated I personally find hillarous and find my self LMAO as well as shouting verbal abuse at the talking heads..
I have to admit I do wait for Futureama as well as South Park to come on.

Despite the monument Sodahead is building to them here- I just finished watching their Thanksgiving History Channel episode. I haven't watched it in awhile- and my first thought was, boy has this show passed it's zenith.
It used to be a bit subtle- now it's just plain heavy handed.

Although to some people it may just come off as vulgar, it actually deals with some real issues and makes fun of them. Remember the goobacks? That had to do with illegal immigration. It may not be realistic, but... it has some real things. :)

I love this show and how it makes fun of real life events and recent movies, by blowing them way out of proportion. One of my favorite moments was when cartman thought that Somalia pirates were like old 16th century pirates and moved to Somalia to "become a pirate". Just the looks on the faces of the people as 12 year old american kids walked right into their hideout, were PRICELESS. It would be like if someone drove a corvette into your driveway got out, gave you the keys, and ran away. lol

I watched south Park , The Simpsons , Family Guy and Beavis and Butthead which they all are my guilty pleasures to watch. But is amazed by the South Park produation to put one show in 7 days unlike the others take up 6 months to finish one.
