  2. O.J. Simpson

    O.J. Simpson

FAIR SENTENCE OR NOT: The Juice is serving 33 years for a Las Vegas kidnapping and robbery with the possibility of parole in nine years. Karma for that murder charge he managed to sidestep back in 1995, perhaps?

  3. Paris Hilton

    Paris Hilton

FAIR SENTENCE OR NOT: After violating probation for a DUI by driving with a suspended license (twice), Paris was sentenced to 45 days in county jail. After five days, she was “reassigned” to her Hollywood mansion.

  4. Robert Downey, Jr.

    Robert Downey, Jr.

FAIR SENTENCE OR NOT: In the ‘90s Downey was arrested for heroin and cocaine possession, then was found sleeping (uninvited) in a neighbors bed. After missing a mandatory drug test he landed in jail for four months.

  5. Phil Spector

    Phil Spector

FAIR SENTENCE OR NOT: The record producer was sentenced to 19 years to life for the ’03 death of actress Lana Clarkson. He did work between trials, producing and arranging his wife’s new album “Out of My Chelle.”

  6. Martha Stewart

    Martha Stewart

FAIR SENTENCE OR NOT: The domestic goddess was sentenced to five months at Alderson Federal Prison Camp (where she was known as M. Diddy) and five months house arrest for securities fraud related charges.

  7. Kiefer Sutherland

    Kiefer Sutherland

FAIR SENTENCE OR NOT: The “24” star was sentenced to 48 days for DUI charges and was going to split his term to work around the show’s shooting schedule. But, due to the writer’s strike, he did all 48 days in a row.

  8. Lil’ Kim

    Lil’ Kim

FAIR SENTENCE OR NOT: After serving a year and a day for conspiracy and perjury related to a shooting outside of a NYC nightclub, Lil’ Kim lived to perform again joining “Dancing with the Stars” in Season 8.

  9. Pete Doherty

    Pete Doherty

FAIR SENTENCE OR NOT: The English musician served two months for robbery and four weeks for drug and driving offenses. Yet, he escaped prison when heroin fell out of his pocket at a court hearing.

  10. DMX

    DMX

FAIR SENTENCE OR NOT: The rapper’s rap sheet includes drug possession, violating parole, and animal cruelty. DMX's recent request to get out of an Arizona jail to be on “Celebrity Rehab” was denied.

If you’ve
been following the ongoing Charlie Sheen domestic saga, it looks like the “Two
and a Half Men” star might be headed to prison for allegedly threatening to
kill his wife, Brooke Mueller on Christmas Day (talk about bah-humbug). Charlie
Sheen isn’t the first celebrity going to jail (heck it’s not even his first
time there). But do the rich and famous get off easy for the crimes they commit?

You!

Its a shame that alot of these movie stars are so ignorant, and uneducated to life. These movie stars are just, and only; actors, and actresses. They can't seem to separate the characters that they play from their real personal lives, so they can be level headed in society. These stars are so damn good, sometimes to good at it, makes one wonder..........if these actors and actresses inherited some missing genes in the family tree DNA??? Well, thats how some them act, I mean the ones that can't get control over themselves with their behavior. Alot of the movie stars only read the scripts for the movie, and the character(s) they portray, any other types of reading material is foreign to them.

I'm not sure of the details of this case but in Texas that would have you looking at up to life sentence for aggravated assualt with a deadly weapon.

Depends on the celebrity! If the public likes them, then they get away with MURDER!

In reality some of these sentences are not light not to average people's sentences. I've known several people who didn't serve any jail time for a DUI while someone else got prison time. It depends on the offense really. As for celebrity, there is a double standard when there would be more cost to the state to provide special accomendations to keep them from the general populace. OJ's murder trial was a hoax from day one with a star struck jury and live footage run daily, but that didn't save him from serving hard time the next time he got in trouble; which some might say had he not been famous he would've got a lighter sentence. Charlie Sheen's rap sheet makes him eligible for extra time alone for his offense. Hopefully it will have a changing effect on him like it has had on Robert Downey Jr and Kiefer Sutherland. But I think it doesn't matter what they give them whether its fair or not, people are always going to judge it because they will always think that the general populace is treated worse. When in reality anyone can bring up a case that contradicts another case for the same crime that didn't get national attention.

Only 30 days from threatening this wife? That's something that should earn him with at least a year!

    Oh Hell yes they do.
    This country has double standards.

We all know that in some ways they do get special treatment and usually the full sentence never sticks to them.

do they ever get anything but specail treatment? If you not known before a crime, you actually have to pay for the crime

Most of the celeberties don't have any brains to begin with. They keep repeating and
repeating the same things over and over.I'm sick of them. They should throw them in Jail and throw away the key.
