Snoop Dogg 'Endorses' Ron Paul: Match Made in Heaven or Odd Combo?

West Coast gangsta rapper Snoop Dogg might not seem like the likeliest Ron Paul supporter, but the two do have one thing in common: They both support the legalization of marijuana. Just to clear the air, Snoop Dogg isn't "endorsing" Ron Paul as a candidate so much as he's pointing out his agreeance with the Republican presidential candidate on that particular issue. But for Snoop, you know that's a major issue.

The "Gin and Juice" rapper posted a meme of Ron Paul with the words "Smoke Weed Everyday" above it. In the caption he added, "Because I said so." Responses on his Facebook page were largely positive, with many fans agreeing that Paul is a uniquely honest politician -- and yes, they agree he could be instrumental in "freeing the weed." What say you of Snoop Dogg's unofficial "endorsement" of Ron Paul?

True Ron Paul is uniquely honest, I also like how he pushes for small government, and doesnt talk to lobbyists. A whole lot of jobs and money could be generated by products manufactured by hemp and from sales of marajuana. Snoops a smart man.

My dad suffers from the same condition and has not found any relief in the pain pills etc. I do wish that he would try some pot therapy but he will not as long as it remains illegal. Iv'e been thinking about ghosting him with some brownies but it would make him mad, I think. What to do? What to do?

It would figure that Snoop would endorse Ron Paul. Snoop does a lot of great things for the community. He helps out kids, he runs a youth football league and coaches a team in it. BUT marijuana is supposedly a drug that makes you a total loser. Hmmmmm, maybe losers are losers and some just happen to smoke weed.

correct but many young people, 30 and younger are smoking pot like never before. You would be shocked by how many actually smoke it Thats why so many young voters are hoping Ron Paul gets in. He won't, but they don't follow politics enough to realize it yet.

Snoop appreciates personal liberties, he's aware that we have a government that doesn't hesitate to take those liberties away if it's fits their agenda. He's probably aware of how dangerous a big, all powerful government is, and he's probably aware of the limits our government should have according to our constitution. Something so many people aren't aware of.

Not to mention...I think Snoop still smokes the ganja and Paul respects the right of the American people to be able to do what they want in the privacy of their homes so long as they're not infringing upon the rights of others.

    RON PAUL 2012!!
  • DavidK Angelat... 2012/02/03 16:00:41

yea, and allow people to have their own meth labs in the privacy of their homes so long as they're not infringing upon the rights of others
  • Angelat... DavidK 2012/02/04 21:55:29
    Angelatxpatriot
Yeah, cuz that's going to happen as soon as they decriminalize marijuana. Meth labs will just be everywhere. Get for real, that was weak.

    P.S.
Are you comparing pot to meth?
  • DavidK Angelat... 2012/02/05 05:45:31
    DavidK
Everyone who does meth had smoked pot before. Meth labs are already closer to you then you know........
  • Angelat... DavidK 2012/02/06 16:16:43
    Angelatxpatriot
There are many people who smoke pot who have never and never will touch meth. "meth labs are already closer to you then you know" which leads a person to believe that pot being kept illegal doesn't stop the people who want to do hard drugs or even the people who want to smoke pot from doing it.

So tell me, is the only thing keeping you from doing meth, is that it's illegal? You're under the impression that if you decriminilize marijuana that all of a sudden everyone is going to be smoking it or everyone is going to start doing hard drugs. The fact is, people that smoke pot or do meth, don't care if it's illegal...it's not stopping them from doing it, but it is costin gus billions in keeping it illegal. And it's a sad world when a person busted for marijuana does more hard time then a rapist or murderer or a phedophile.

What a person does in thier own home, so long as it doesn't infringe upon anyone elses liberties is none of your business and it's not for you to decide what's best for them.
  • DavidK Angelat... 2012/02/06 17:03:17
    DavidK
Go ahead.........fry your brain.......you appear to have a good start anyways..... How about we just fine the living daylights out of people using illegal drugs. Maybe $5,000 fine for minor possession! That would make people think twice about going against the grain! Great for the economy too.
  • Angelat... DavidK 2012/02/06 18:22:21
    Angelatxpatriot
Wow, do you hear yourself? So this is how you react to logic? You go into attack and insult mode? You don't even know me and you're insulting me. You assume my brain is fried and you know absolutely nothing about me. You don't even know whether or not I smoke pot or do drugs. So you would take money...money an individual earned because YOU feel you should control what they do in their home?

How would you feel if people decided to "fine" YOU because they disagree with something you do in your life and they decided to take that liberty from you? Maybe there is some food you eat that isn't good for you, or maybe you drink alcohol from time to time. How about, since we need to protect you from YOURSELF, we take that way, and then if you're caught, we're going to take a bunch of money that YOU earned, away from you. Wow. With people like you it's a wonder we have any liberties or a constitution at all!

"That would make people think twice about going against the grain!" What are you a Nazi?? Have you ever read Orwells 1984? You'd fit right in with the "Party".
