We've been running a lot of stories on "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" lately because it's all the gaming news sources are talking about, and now we know why. According to a report published by Raptr, a site that tracks gameplay data for more than 10 million gamers, "Skyrim" is officially the most-played game of 2011 -- a year that Web Pro News claims has been the best year in gaming since 1996 (think "Super Mario 64").

Raptr's report also broke down the most-played games within different genres, though there are few surprises there. "Modern Warfare 3" topped the Shooter list, "Batman: Arkham City" dominated Open-World Games, and "Skyrim" obviously crushed the RPG category. (According to the report, it clocked in twice as many hours as the next best RPG, "Dragon Age 2.") Do you play Skyrim?

I think your getting way too far ahead of yourselves Soda Head. Skyrim is not the "most-played-game" when people are still playing the classics from decades ago.

I tend to play games several years after they're released and thus get them much cheaper. For example I just finished Assassin's Creed (yes, the first one), and will start BioShock next.

I might after to start over on that game. I stop playing for a like a wail and when I got back into it I have forgotten everything that is going on . All I remember this old dude not wanting to help me defend a town and over the radio him acting like he did something to help me protect the town .

Actually that's what I'm half way through now in hardcore mode, I wasn't sure if I'd like it as much as the fallout 3, but it's just as good, and I love what they've done with the radio stations and mr new vegas, what a sleeze, he's perfect :)

Yeah for sure, I particularly love how they resurrected the old music from the 30's and 40's. They could have put metal tracks in like every other game but it wouldn't have worked as well.
