We've been running a lot of stories on "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" lately because it's all the gaming news sources are talking about, and now we know why. According to a report published by Raptr, a site that tracks gameplay data for more than 10 million gamers, "Skyrim" is officially the most-played game of 2011 -- a year that Web Pro News claims has been the best year in gaming since 1996 (think "Super Mario 64").

Raptr's report also broke down the most-played games within different genres, though there are few surprises there. "Modern Warfare 3" topped the Shooter list, "Batman: Arkham City" dominated Open-World Games, and "Skyrim" obviously crushed the RPG category. (According to the report, it clocked in twice as many hours as the next best RPG, "Dragon Age 2.") Do you play Skyrim?

1. Some people make a living off of video games, playing them, designing them, everything. Probably make more than you. And 2. At the end of that sentence there shouldn't be a question mark.

That's funny, I have 2 houses valued at over 1.5 million each, I have 4 cars in my garage, a wife and 4 beautiful kids. I travel the world and have lived on my own since I was 14, you might want to revise your statement.

P.S. Skyrim Rocks!!! Also I don't ever want to grow up and my kids love having a father who is young at heart.

Yup lvl 81 Argonian, Got dragon armor legendary quality and I'm workin on making a set of daderic armor which is much cooler looking than the set in oblivion. Great game fantastic graphics and scenery plus tons of side quests to keep u busy, best game of the year hands down!

I understand it is stand-alone format, XBox, PS3, etc, and not a web-based game, and so requires more equipment than I want to own.

I have played it briefly, but I made the mistake of asking for it for christmas...

So I can't exactly go out and buy it until after that.

But in the meantime I'm well on my way to beating Assassins Creed Revelations while I wait.

i used to hate the elder scrolls series (gave up on oblivion within a few hours) but then i took really good graphics and better game mechanics to the knee. but yeah skyrim is actually a really good game, far far superior to oblivion which was a steaming pile of crap. on second thought, it was kinda boring once again.

sure it might still have a few bugs here and there, but find me another game that gives you so much to do that after you beat the main quest you still have another 9,000 plus things to do and looks as good as it does?

So what do you do when it's under twenty degrees outside, and the sun sets at about 5pm?

Not much to do out there. I go out and do stuff all the time, but after dark in winter I like being inside near a heater. That's when I play my video games.

Not that I'm biased (I play at least 3 hours a day...no, not biased at all). Skyrim by far has been the most immersive game both environmentally speaking as well as story since Oblivion or Fallout 3 (and New Vegas). If its one thing that Bethesda does best above any and all others, its RPG's!

It's fun! Wish it had better graphics for the people, they seem so stiff. The women also look like men, so I am playing a Khajiit. I love going around stealing and killing people, lol.

Totally!!! Its damn cool!!! nd I dont care what everyone else says, I LUV IT!!! XD I started to play "the elder scrolls of oblivion IV" I was adiccted inmediatly, now when I heard "the elder scrolls of Skyrim" I went crazy!!! Nd when My dad came and sayd "hey! I thought u would like this" he showed me the game and I screamed!!!!! (really) then I started the xbox360 and started to play. I LOOOVE IT!!!
