We've been running a lot of stories on "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" lately because it's all the gaming news sources are talking about, and now we know why. According to a report published by Raptr, a site that tracks gameplay data for more than 10 million gamers, "Skyrim" is officially the most-played game of 2011 -- a year that Web Pro News claims has been the best year in gaming since 1996 (think "Super Mario 64").

Raptr's report also broke down the most-played games within different genres, though there are few surprises there. "Modern Warfare 3" topped the Shooter list, "Batman: Arkham City" dominated Open-World Games, and "Skyrim" obviously crushed the RPG category. (According to the report, it clocked in twice as many hours as the next best RPG, "Dragon Age 2.") Do you play Skyrim?

I find it odd that Skyrim is the most-played game, considering I don't play it, nobody I know plays it, I don't think anyone they know plays it either and the I've only ever heard of it through Sodahead. Strange...

God no. Oblivion is probably the worst in the series (I haven't played Arena yet). You might as well just skip that one. Skyrim is Oblivion on steroids, but I agree that it still has nothing on Morrowind. I'd even say it's tied with Daggerfall for second place.

It's not nearly as good as Oblivion or Skyrim...The game was too glitchy for me, lagged a lot when running from place to place. Oblivion and Skyrim are just updated versions of each other.
